  Warwick Lions Club Beer Festival

Fastest selling beer of the 2009 festival:
Ffiagra - Warwickshire Beer Company
Voted Most Popular beer:
Old Hebacious - Church End Brewery

First Lions Beer Festival a huge success!
So successful in fact, we ran out of beer well before we expected on Friday night and despite getting 5 extra barrels, ran out again on Saturday night (a lesson learnt for next year!!).
We are very pleased how things went and everyone seemed to have a great time, with lots of praise for the event and we can report a significant amount of money was raised for local charities. A large donation has already been passed to the Myton Hospice and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (two of Warwick Lions' main benefactors).
We will run the event again in 2010 and hope to be bigger and better year on year. If you'd like to donate some of your time to help as we do, you would be warmly welcomed.

Finally a big note of thanks to the following people that helped us with technical and organisational stuff:
The Campaign for Real Ale guys (CAMRA), there's a lot to learn when handling barrels of beer for public consumption!
Hugh at Warwick Racecourse for the venue and his time (a fine barman!)

We need you!

Lions clubs are non-political, non-religious and open to any man or woman who wants to help others.

Not sure if we would be right for you? Then be our guest at one of our meetings or one of our fundrasing events and find out what we get up to. Have fun while raising money for good causes is what we like to do.

We have a good social programme with, for example,  skittles evenings, theatre nights, brewery tours and trips.

Fund raising includes collections, Warwick Town Carnival (organised by us), Carols at the Castle, car boot sales and of course the Beer Festival.
